To promote safety and well-being, the American Diabetes Association (ADA) will require all attendees, exhibitors, staff, and vendors to be fully vaccinated* against COVID-19 prior to entering the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, in accordance with applicable law. All will be asked to provide proof of vaccination status via VaxYes, a third-party health clearance site. Please note, ADA will not access your health information. VaxYes will collect your status and notify ADA if you have or have not provided proof of vaccination.
On the VaxYes site each registrant must agree to ADA’s COVID-19 guidelines, complete the vaccine verification process, and upload your vaccination document (except where prohibited by law). Once completed, the registrant will receive verification that they are cleared to attend.
All attendees, exhibitors, staff, and vendors will also be required to wear facemasks indoors except when speaking or presenting, when eating or drinking in designated areas, and/or as otherwise required by applicable law and guidance.
*For purposes of its protocols, ADA utilizes the Centers for Disease and Prevention Control’s definition of "fully vaccinated," which may be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html.
It has come to our attention that several housing agencies may have presented themselves as hotel booking agencies for the ADA's 82nd Scientific Sessions and may have contacted exhibitors and attendees to make hotel reservations using their services. Please note: Convention Management Resources, Inc. (CMR) is the only official housing agent for the ADA's 82nd Scientific Sessions in New Orleans. No other housing company or travel agency is authorized or endorsed by ADA to place hotel reservations on behalf of the ADA's 82nd Scientific Sessions. If you do not see this logo on the website then they are not the official provider.
Guestroom reservations made through any other agency cannot be confirmed by ADA and may result in guestroom unavailability, loss of pre-paid reservations or non-refundable deposits, additional charges, incorrect hotel placement, or inflated room rates.
Please use the ADA Scientific Sessions Official Housing online hotel reservation system to avoid potential loss of your guestroom reservation deposits, or any confusion or additional charges.
For further information or assistance, you may contact ADA Housing directly at 866.290.9910 (US & Canada) or 415.268.2086 (International). Should you be contacted by any agency other than CMR, please notify us by contacting the Support Center.
