Federal Government Per Diem Housing Information
- Wednesday, September 25, 2024 – Last day to make a reservation in the dedicated Government room block.
- Wednesday, September 25, 2024 – Last day to change/cancel reservations through WEFTEC Housing.
- Friday, September 27, 2024 – Reservation changes/cancels can be made directly with the hotels.
- 72-hours prior to arrival – Deadline to cancel reservations to avoid a penalty of one night’s room and tax.
Valid federal government identification required upon check-in
The GSA per diem for New Orleans FY2024 is $162.00 per night through September 30, 2024. The FY2025 rate will be announced September 1, 2024 and goes into effect October 1, 2024. An announcement about the FY2025 rate will be sent in September, along with an updated confirmation reflecting the rate change to your reservation.
The government per diem rate is intended for United States Federal Government employees and military personnel. A valid Federal Government or Military ID must be presented upon check-in. If you are with any other governmental jurisdiction, please contact your hotel to verify their specific policies. If the hotel does not extend the per diem rate to your governmental jurisdiction, your room will be charged at the WEFTEC group rate.
Complimentary shuttle bus service will be provided from most hotels to New Orleans Morial Convention Center beginning Sunday, October 6 through Wednesday, October 9. To view the shuttle schedule with exact hours, visit WEFTEC Hotel Shuttles. There is no shuttle provided for the Hampton Inn & Suites Convention Center, Hilton Garden Inn Convention Center, Hyatt Place Convention Center, and Marriott Warehouse District as they are a comfortable walking distance to the convention center.
BADGE PICKUP WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE AIRPORT!
If you are arriving by air, you can pick up your badge before leaving the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport: Level 1, Baggage Claim between doors 3 and 4 on Saturday, October 5, 9:00am - 6:00pm or Sunday, October 6, 9:00am - 7:00pm.
Badge pickup will also be available at the Hilton Riverside hotel, Sheraton New Orleans hotel, and the convention center.
