Federal Government Per Diem Housing Information

Attention:

  • The government per diem rate is for U.S. Federal Government employees and military personnel. Please bring a valid Federal Government or Military ID to show at check-in.
  • State, city, and municipal government employees may not qualify. Because eligibility can vary by hotel, we recommend calling your chosen hotel(s) to confirm before you book.
  • Booking the per diem rate through this site does not guarantee that the hotel will honor the per diem rate; but it does guarantee that the Group rate will be honored.
  • The New Orleans GSA per diem is $157.00/night through September 30 (FY2026). The updated rate for stays starting October 1, 2026 (FY2027) will be posted September 1. If your stay crosses into October, we’ll follow up with a rate update and a refreshed confirmation once it’s announced.

Important Dates

  • Wednesday, September 16, 2026 – Last day to make, change or cancel reservations through WEFTEC Housing.
  • Friday, September 18, 2026 – Contact your hotel directly to change or cancel your reservation.
  • 72-hours prior to arrival – Deadline to cancel reservations without penalty.

Pay close attention to the available bed types and other hotel features by selecting Show Hotel Details to be sure they can accommodate your specific needs.

If sold out in this room block or if you would prefer another hotel, rooms can also be booked at the WEFTEC Group rates on the General Attendee housing site.

WEFTEC 2026 Hotel Shuttle Schedule and Route Information

Complimentary shuttle bus service will be provided from most hotels to New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Sunday, September 27 through Wednesday, September 30. There is no shuttle provided for the Hampton Inn & Suites Convention Center, Hilton Garden Inn Convention Center, Hyatt Place Convention Center, Marriott Warehouse Arts District, Sonesta ES Suites Convention Center, and the Springhill Suites Warehouse Arts District.


Alert! Convention Management Resources (CMR) is the official hotel management company for WEFTEC. No other hotel management company or travel agency is authorized to place reservations on behalf of the Water Environment Federation. Other agencies have not entered into agreements with the New Orleans hotels and are not able to guarantee rates and accommodations during the dates of the conference.
