Basic Information

  • Currency Exchange kiosks are conveniently located at the airport in the departure halls of every terminal, as well as in the arrival halls at Tom Bradley International Terminal and Terminals 2, 5, and 6.

 

By Air:

The city (and its surrounding area) has several airports, to make arrival into the city as easy as possible.
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) - The fifth busiest passenger airport in the world, with more than 55 million people passing through every year.
  • Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) -The closest airport to Hollywood, the San Fernando Valley and Downtown LA.
  • Ontario International (ONT) - A medium-hub, full-service airport with commercial jet service to major U.S. cities and international destinations. ONT is located in the Inland Empire, approximately 35 miles east of Downtown Los Angeles.
  • Long Beach Airport (LGB) - Among the top five busiest general aviation airports in the world, and serves nearly three million commercial airline passengers annually. Long Beach Airport is located just 25 miles from Downtown Los Angeles.

Getting around the city:

Metro Rail System
Easy-to-use and environmentally friendly color-coded subway, light-rail and rapid bus transit lines offer visitors an affordable way of getting from one destination to the next. The base fare to ride the Metro Rail is $1.75.

DASH Bus Downtown
DASH is a quick way to get around L.A. for only 50 cents! Multiple routes serve the Downtown area with stops at major tourist and business locations. Buses depart weekdays every 8-15 minutes from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. See DASH site for weekend services.
